Three weeks agoI came from Kaiser Hospital Mission Bay to Oda restaurant and bar right next door.
I had just been given my first ever wheelchair and I wheeled myself unsteadily into Oda for a soup and sandwich.
The server was a 20 something Russian young lady, plemtashe took my order and then said "pick a t able and I 'xell do the rest."
I wheeled myself to a table, she delivered all my food even though it's self service, she then brought my coffee added Splenda and half n half and asked if I needed anything else.
I was so impressed at this level of service from this young lady.
Today I went back, ordered much the same, a different server this time but very helpful as well and then comped my coffee.
I hope you will all give this place your business , they are a perfect example of customer service given with a smile!
Thank you guys, you made my day! -

I came here after watching a show at Chase Center. It was really big inside with a good amount of people. They had a pretty big bar. There was a sign to order at the bar, but we ended up being told to just take a seat.
The menu was a bit pricey. My friend ordered the mac and cheese and I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. The mac and cheese was pretty small. The chicken sandwich came with cheese and bacon, as well as a small salad. The chicken was pretty dry, but the salad tasted really good.
I might come back again. It seems like a convenient place, right next to ucsf. The food is pretty expensive for okay food. It seems like a nice place to have a beer and talk with friends. -

Great restaurant at the base of the UCSF medical building. Had the cheese steak it was so good. The bread is different but very tasty and the coleslaw is great too. They have a little coffee shop and bar too.

Bacon Lettuce Tomato and Avocado sandwich. Ok portion of bacon, barely any lettuce, a tiny slice of tomato on each half then a minimal amount of avocado. I forgot why I stopped going here after the ownership changed over... now I remember.

Summary: Cute venue, friendly staff, cocktail Q&A needed
Located right off the UCSF Mission Bay campus, Oda provides food and drinks, with wine on tap and beer brewed on site. Opting for neither of these, my friend and I tried their cocktails. I was captivated by the idea of the Elderblood, containing Hendrick's gin, elderflower, blood orange, and lime. My friend settled upon the Purple Margarita, with Patron, triple sec, lime, and raspberry liquor.
Ideally.
The issue started when it took 5 minutes, in an otherwise empty bar area, for them to notify us that they had run out of raspberry liquor. The bartender suggested a substitution and my friend's margarita arrived red instead of purple. But it was excessively sweet; the alcohol was imperceptible and any lime that theoretically was present did nothing to cut the sweetness.
My drink had the opposite problem. From the picture, you can see it was light yellow-green in color. Where was the blood orange? I took a sip. In fact, where was any of the components? It tasted like pure gin. Perhaps if this was a Friday night and I was trying to get turnt, this would have been desirable, but I was just trying to have conversation and catch up with my friend.
Throughout though, the bartender made small talk and was extremely friendly. I would come back to give them another chance - it's much easier to fix a drink than it is to fix service.
